New York, NY - My hometown is often touted for how tough the people here can be. "New York is so tough that even the babies have weapons" Through music, movies and other forms of entertertainment the legend has outgrown the reality. Or has it?

Last week not even the fate of a tiny baby could stop two "women" from punching and clawing it out on a train.

Thanks to cell phones and Youtube we can see what straphangers watched in horror on the L train one hot afternoon. The fight seemed to erupt from an argument over a seat.  One of the women swung her bag over her shoulder, rocking the stroller back and forth with a sleeping child inside.  The woman in blue, pushing the stroller, appears to be getting off the train when the bloodsport jumps off. 

The stroller with the child rolls out the door as some passengers run for cover. After a few minutes of tussling and weave pulling, passengers intervene to break up the fight telling one of the combatants, "She has a baby, let her go!"  The woman in white said she didn't care because she was accusing the woman with the child of macing her.  A freeze frame shows the woman in blue with something in her hand that looks like a small spray dispenser.

The caption posted beneath the YouTube video says that other people at the scene took care of the baby until the fight was broken up.

If the child grows up to be a fearless business tycoon, a focused performer, disciplined athlete or maybe a mass murderer, they'll always have this clip to say where it all began.
